Inspired by 'The Few' who took part in The Battle of Britain, The Henshaw Rollneck is an original 1930s design reinvented for the 21st century wardrobe. Taking its name from 1930s racing driver and pilot Alexander Adolphus Dumphries Henshaw MBE. Henshaw became the Chief Test Pilot for aircraft company Vickers Armstrong during the Second World War.

He lived in Castle Bromwich, near to the Birmingham factory that built over half of the total output of Spitfires ever made, as well as 350 Lancaster heavy bombers; Henshaw tested both types of aircraft.

He is the only pilot known to have performed a barrel roll in a Lancaster bomber...

The rich navy wool accentuates the cable-knit pattern and with its unique cuff and waistband detail, directly copied from an original 1930s pattern, that's why we can call it vintage clothing. the Henshaw rollneck requires no effort by the wearer to look the part.
